WHAT A YEAR!
I cannot believe that a year ago from January 15, 2010, "The Food Temptress" hit bookstores and the Internet worldwide. When I started this journey, I did not know what to expect. I have promoted and/or conducted book signings at a Barbeque Cook-off, beauty salons, bookstores, coffee houses, conferences, a cupcake store, festivals, libraries, spas, and restaurants. I have been a library panelist and a guest speaker on several blog talk radio shows. I shared my experiences with university students. I have visited blogs. I distributed business cards, postcards, and flyers. I joined numerous social networking sites. I have networked with book clubs and the literary community. I have given away gift baskets, notepads, and pens. I have donated books to silent auctions. I held canned food and pajama drives in conjunction with my book signings. I am tired, can you think of anything else?
I have met some wonderful people who are now my friends and/or fans. They share the same enthusiasm about my book. They seem like proud parents - I love it!
I am grateful to my publisher, Xpress Yourself Publishing Company (XYP), and the XYP authors for their support. Of course, I could not have done it without the love of my family and friends. My faith keeps me grounded and I know all things are possible with Him.
