June is National Candy Month! I love all sorts of candy. Matter of fact, I was thinking about opening a candy store many years ago. I wanted to call it “Candy Girl.” Anyway, that dream subsided and I moved on to new ones. However, I still enjoy eating those sugary treats. I am drooling now just looking at the image.

I listed my top five favorite candies below. They are not in any particular order. To celebrate, I plan to eat all five this month, but not in one sitting.

Top 5 Favorite Candies
1) Heath Candy Bar
2) Chewy Sweet Tarts
3) Lemonheads
4) Boston Baked Beans
5) Now and Later

What's your favorite candy? How are you going to celebrate National Candy Month?  Bon Appétit!

Father’s Day is on Sunday, June 20. Why not cook for dad, grandpa, or your male friend; after all, he deserves it. Below are some suggested menu items. Remember it is the thought that counts, so try to put some love into your dish. If you do not know your way around the kitchen or if he is a picky eater, treat him to a buffet. End the day with a handwritten note on stationery, telling him how much you love and adore him. Bon Appétit!

Suggested Menu
1) Rib Eye Steak and a Loaded Baked Potato
2) Braised Short Ribs with Garlic Mash Potatoes
3) Grilled Bratwurst, Onions, and Peppers
4) Buffalo Chicken Wings and Fries
5) Shrimp Alfredo and Garlic Bread

What are you cooking for your dad on Father’s Day?

One of my favorite websites is Kraft Foods. I found a fabulous recipe for Watergate Salad. I made it the other day and it was delicious! It reminded me of the perfect summer dessert. Yes, it was that good.

I do not know if you like all the ingredients listed, but it is worth trying and sampling. I guarantee someone will eat it. At the very minimum, take it to a potluck. Let me know what you think. Bon Appétit!
